In the midst of the crisis that hit Lebanon in 2019, vulnerability and poverty among the population significantly increased. 
In response, the Government has approved a new Pensions Law in December 2023 and a National Social Protection Strategy in February 2024.   
In light of these developments, the Institut is collaborating with relevant stakeholders to analyze the structure, outreach and financing mechanisms of social protection. It is also providing policy recommendations and contributing to the capacity building of local stakeholders.
